Our on-site specialty traineeship in eating disorder recovery is designed to augment the student/intern's current curriculum that lacks an eating disorder education and experiential component.
This will be a very unique experience for you, as you will see how a small business and a non-profit foundation are run, from both a clinical and a business standpoint. Some of the experiences you will have may include:
- Participating in our Reconnect with Food® Partial Hospitalization and Intensive Outpatient Programs for eating disorder recovery.
- Researching and presenting a detailed case study in our program.
- Developing and conducting a food experiential with the participants.
- Participating in Reconnect with Food® at Inner Door Center's adjunct programs (group support, individual consultations, yoga therapy, corporate wellness, community presentations).
- Special project of your choice that you create and execute.
- One-on-one time with Beverly Price for review and additional learning.
Whatever you choose to obtain from this experience is up to you. All experiences will be relevant to your respective curriculum and career path.
This is a two (2)-week long program with an option to add additional weeks for additional cost.
Students/Interns will receive a special certification of completion in eating disorder training.
